TUI Airways has announced it’s adding 25 new routes to its summer 2027 network, including 25 brand-new routes and around 640,000 extra seats across its European network. The addition is a 4.6% capacity increase from its summer 2026 network, marking the first schedule since TUI merged its five national airlines into a single operation and bringing the airline’s total output to 17 million seats across 84,000 flights.
Expansions and reductions to airport operations
Some UK and European hubs will be seeing massive increases. London Gatwick Airport, the UK’s second-busiest airport, will be the biggest beneficiary, gaining eight new destinations:
- Athens and Mytilene (Greece)
- Palermo (Italy)
- Santiago de Compostela, Seville and Valencia (Spain)
- Tangier (Morocco)
- Djerba (Tunisia)
The expansion brings TUI’s total network at Gatwick to 59 destinations. Most of the services will operate two to three times a week.
In Europe, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium are also getting significant expansions.
Düsseldorf in Germany is gaining a twice-weekly service to Curaçao, alongside new routes to Malaga in Spain, Naples and Venice in Italy, and Ljubljana in Slovenia. Hanover will see new routes to the Costa del Sol and Malaga, and Olbia in Italy.
Amsterdam will gain a twice-weekly service to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and is planned to launch TUI’s new Boeing 737-10 fleet in Q2 2027 (pending certification).
Belgian routes to Majorca in Spain, the Canary Islands and Marrakech in Morocco will see increased operations, offsetting departure cuts at Liege and Antwerp.
However, not all airports will receive TUI’s expanded network. London Luton Airport and Dublin Airport will see reduced TUI services as the airline concentrates its operations in larger, busier hubs.
