Flexjet has opened its first dedicated private terminal at Farnborough Airport (FAB). This $34 million facility is specifically designed for company aircraft owners and their guests, integrating passenger services, flight operations, and staff training within the same building.

Flexjet’s Dedicated Farnborough Terminal

The facility covers 2,098 square metres and is located in a new ramp-side building at the airport, separate from the original main terminal. Flexjet passengers can use the airport’s dedicated security and immigration services before boarding or disembarking.

The terminal officially opened two years after construction began and is Flexjet‘s most ambitious infrastructure project completed outside its North American headquarters.

Unlike traditional fixed-base operator terminals, this new facility is operated by Flexjet itself and is exclusively for its aircraft owners and guests. This enables the company to provide a more seamless passenger journey from arriving at the airport to boarding.

Inside the Farnborough Terminal

One of the highlights of the terminal is a fully replicated Gulfstream G700 aircraft cabin. This area is called the Flexjet Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge and features a full-size recreation of the Flexjet cabin interior and a private bedroom suite, allowing passengers to experience the aircraft interior layout without leaving the terminal.

The building also features an airport-facing owner’s bar and lounge, private meeting rooms, and a sculpture created by British artist David Spriggs. The dedicated passenger area includes upper-level operational facilities.

Flexjet’s chairman, Kenn Ricci, said that this opening marks an important milestone in the company’s international development:

“This launch marks the establishment of one of the most significant branded luxury environments in private aviation and is a defining moment in Flexjet’s global expansion.”

The upper space houses Flexjet’s European headquarters and Tactical Control Centre, supporting the company’s regional flight operations. Additionally, the expanded Red Label Academy will provide hospitality training for Flexjet’s Cabin Servers. Solar panels and rainwater collection systems have been integrated into the building.

Supporting Flexjet’s Expansion in Europe

The Farnborough Airport project is connected to Flexjet’s existing and planned [private terminals] network. According to the company, its network now includes 10 private terminals that are either open or in development.

Flexjet recently opened a 3,530-square-metre maintenance, repair, and overhaul hangar at Farnborough Airport. This hangar provides maintenance support for the company’s fleet and consolidates passenger services, operations, and engineering facilities at the same airport.

This investment further solidifies Farnborough‘s position in Flexjet’s European business and enhances the company’s control over pre- and post-flight services. It also transforms the terminal project announced in 2024 into an operational facility serving Flexjet passengers travelling through Farnborough Airport.
