To improve cargo management and efficiency at El Dorado International Airport, GAL Aviation announced it will be implement Kale Logistics’ Airport Cargo Community System (ACS) in their scheduling and delivery of cargo.
Benefits of ACS in Cargo Operations
By creating a more coordinated environment in the cargo ecosystem at El Dorado International Airport, located in Bogotá, Colombia, GAL Aviation is expecting the operation to generate numerous financial and functional advantages.
“With the implementation of the ACS platform, we reinforce our commitment to modernization and greater efficiency within Colombia’s air cargo ecosystem. This initiative will help improve coordination throughout the logistics chain while strengthening the sector’s overall performance and competitiveness,” said Juan Pablo Luchau, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GAL.
The ACS software is designed to maximise efficiency between various departments, creating an optimised flow of operations. With ACS, GAL aims to improve connectivity and coordination among stakeholders, streamline the supply chain, and eliminate operational bottlenecks. Specifically, with the help of the software, tracking shipments, visibility between terminals, and consistency of service delivery are all expected to improve.

According to Luchau, testing of the ACS is already underway. To make sure everything runs smoothly, and that the transition to the new software is seamless, professionals from various points of the supply chain have been asked to register onto the new platform.
