On March 29, 2026, Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will implement terminal reassignments, which will impact airlines from the start of the summer 2026 schedule. These changes will be made to optimise terminal capacity and improve passenger movement.
Manila Airport
This airport is often referred to as Manila Airport, with code MNL, and it is the main international gateway serving Metro Manila in the Philippines. The airport is located in Pasay/Parañaque and it handles most international and domestic flights for the capital region.
It is known for being severely congested, operating over capacity with four unconnected terminals, which often require external transport to navigate between them, leading to potential connection issues. The terminal reshuffles are being done in order to ease passenger congestion at all four terminals.
Terminal Reshuffle
Beginning March 29, terminal reshuffles will take place at this airport. See below the affected airlines and flights.
Flights relocating to Terminal 1 from 3:
- AirAsia Philippines
- AirAsia
Airlines moving to Terminal 3 from 1:
- Shenzhen Airlines
- Air China
- China Eastern Airlines
- Royal Brunei Airlines
- Vietnam Airlines
It is noted that Japan Airlines will also transfer its operations to Terminal 3 from 1, starting on April 1, 2026. Passengers who have booked with these airlines have been advised to double-check their flight and ticket details.
