Delta Air Lines is launching a Boston-Honolulu route next winter, after a 2025 suspension. The idea is to make accessible daily, non-stop flights throughout the season, starting from Dec. 19, 2026.

Service Revival
The aforementioned Boston-Honolulu service was previously suspended in 2025, soon followed by their direct competitor, Hawaiian Airlines, also stopping journeys to Hawaii. But now that the service is being revived by Delta Air Lines, these regular long-haul flights are expected to operate five times per-week and during peak holiday seasons throughout the year at Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu. A statement was given by Delta Air Lines’ Vice President of Network Planning, Amy Martin, in which she said:
“This expansion strengthens connectivity from key U.S. hubs while giving customers more choice in how they reach the islands, alongside the premium travel experience they expect on these long-haul flights.”
Martin’s comments further echo that “Hawaii plays an important role in our long-haul leisure network.”
The airline has also decided to make regular use of the A330-300 for these non-stop services to Honolulu.

Expansion of Route
Delta Air Lines also intends to expand by adding a new direct route from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Kahului Airport (OGG) on the island of Maui. It is also one of many other expansions for non-stop flights to Hawaii such as Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) throughout the rest of 2026.
