Philippines Airlines have adopted A350s ahead of 2026

Phillippines Airlines have begun operating their first ever A350-1000 aircraft, in preparation for upgrading their long-haul routes particularly on flights to the West Coast of the USA. There are two of them currently in the Airline’s fleet with another seven on order for 2026.

What’s on offer for Customers?

There will be a range of cabins for passengers to choose from, including 30 business class seats, 24 in Premium Economy and 241 seats in Economy. These will be in a 3-3-3 configuration, with toilets situated in the front, middle and back of the plane. The model is the largest of the Airbus family still being manufactured.

Philippines Airlines are on a mission to reach to extend their long-range capability and be more environmentally friendly, as the aircraft burns 25% less fuel than it’s older sister model, the A330. To further achieve sustainability goals, the aircraft is certified to fly with 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The A350 is globally known as one of the safest planes to fly.

Milestone for the Airline

President of Philippines Airlines Richard Nuttall called the addition of the wide-body planes as a ‘marks a pivotal step in Philippine Airlines’ ongoing fleet modernisation program.’ This comes only a few days after the Airline adopted five A320’s, the narrow-body component of the Airbus family.
