Phoenix Aviation has partnered with Bluebird Aviation to acquire a GV aircraft (likely a Gulfstream) that is equipped with advanced medical capabilities, as per media reports. This is part of Phoenix Aviation’s strategy to enhance its service offerings by partnering with another air charter company, as they aim to expand their joint capabilities in high-end charter and long-range medical evacuation services.

Bluebird Aviation is also a Nairobi-based air charter company licensed by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority since 1992.

This airline specialises in providing aircraft sales, management, and ferry services worldwide. They specialise in scheduled and non-scheduled air transport across East and Central Africa.

Bluebird Aviation provides services such as cargo delivery, passenger transport and even medical evacuations for human, private and government needs.

About This Partnership

The GV, or Gulfstream V, is an ultra-long-range business jet that is known for its exceptional range. This aircraft allows non-stop flights between distant cities, flies above most weather and traffic at up to 51,000 feet. It offers luxurious, spacious cabins and reliability, making it a popular choice for private and government long-haul travel.

This partnership will strengthen regional air charter and cargo air services in East Africa. It will allow Phoenix to enhance its fleet offerings via Bluebird’s established routes and expertise. It could also potentially stabilise operations for both carriers in the African aviation market.
