Emirates and awards:

Awards are the parameters to define one’s quality and a reward for one’s hard work. Emirates has won heaps of awards in 2025, including the latest World Travel Awards (WTA).

In the 32nd WTA, they won the world’s leading airline brand, the world’s leading airline for inflight entertainment, the world’s leading airline rewards programme, the world’s leading airline for first class, and the world’s leading airline lounge for first class in 2025.

It adds to their portfolio of more than 20 awards in 2025. They got recognised by awards like the ULTRA Travel Awards, the Forbes Travel Guide Verified Air Travels Awards 2025, the APEX/IFSA Awards and The Telegraph Travel Awards.

In early 2025, Emirates won the “Best Long-Haul Airline” award in the Telegraph Travel, and in the second half of 2025, they won the 2026 APEX Best Global Entertainment, 2026 APEX World Class, Forbes’ Best International Airline, Best International Airline Lounge and Best International First Class awards.

In November, they won ULTRA’s “Best Airline Award” for the eighth consecutive year. ULTRA’s award has been given on the basis of votes from Ultratravel’s global network of 1.2 million travellers. Emirates has also won the “Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to the Global Aviation” and “Airline with the Best Premium Economy Class” from the ULTRA.

32nd World Travel Awards:

The WTA awards are the globally recognised awards to celebrate corporations and personalities in the travel, hospitality and tourism sectors. The WTA asks entities to send their nominations through their website.

After finalising the nominees by WTA, they start the poll on their website, in which anyone from the industry professionals and the public can vote. Votes from the verified/well-known industry professionals have double weightage when compared to the public votes.

The WTA is a hybrid model award which gives awards based on both the industry views and the general public/travellers’ views.
