easyJet, the low-cost carrier with the largest presence of any airline at Bristol International Airport, has begun its flights from the UK’s South West hub to the German city of Munich and the city of Zurich in Switzerland.

The first flights for the services from Bristol to Munich and Zurich took off on 26 October and 29 October respectively, making easyJet the only airline connecting the two destinations directly with Bristol. Flights are already available to book via the easyJet app and website, with fares starting from £23.99 one way. The two new routes will operate as follows:
- Bristol — Munich will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, ideal for business travellers or those looking to explore the Bavarian capital;
- Bristol — Zurich will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the winter period, allowing passengers to discover Switzerland’s largest city and access the gateway to the Alps for the ski season.
The arrival of the two new services to the regional hub in the South West of England has been met with optimism and celebration, especially by Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, who said the following:
“We are delighted to have launched the first flights on two of our new winter routes from Bristol Airport to Munich and Zurich providing both our business and leisure travellers in the South-west with direct connections to both cities. Similarly, Rupert Lawrie, Commercial Director at Bristol Airport, said:
“It’s great news for Bristol Airport to be able to offer this new route into Germany. easyJet is the only airline to offer flights to Munich and with such good travel options it should appeal for both business trips and long weekends. Customers can also benefit this winter with regular flights to Zurich, which is perfect for the ski season or business meetings, as well as soaking up Swiss culture.”
easyJet Expands its Network
The Munich and Zurich-bound flights above can not only be booked as individual flights through the airline’s app and website, but also as part of a city break package with the airline’s subsidiary tour operator, easyJet Holidays. Holidaymakers can book their next getaway online, through a travel agent, or through the easyJet Holidays Travel Solutions Network over the phone.
easyJet has also recently announced it will be starting two new routes to take off in June 2026, which are the Spanish city of Reus in Catalonia and Thessaloniki in Greece. The introduction of even more routes highlights the airline’s commitment to Bristol Airport and its customers to provide connectivity and great value fares.
