Wizz Air’s $580 Travel Pass Relaunch

The $580 travel pass is available to 10,000 members across 34 countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Each flight segment comes with an additional €9.99 ($11.65) fee and must be booked 72 hours before departure, depending on seat availability.

According to Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, the deal has helped the airline attract new customers.

“We realized that many people who bought the ‘All You Can Fly’ were actually not Wizz customers before,” she said.

On average, pass holders use the membership around nine times a year.

Testing a New ‘Wizz Class’ for Business Travellers

In a bid to appeal to the growing market of budget-conscious business travellers, Wizz Air also announced plans to test a new business class product named ‘Wizz Class.’

The new class will not feature larger seats but will block off the middle seat for extra space, a setup similar to British Airways‘ short-haul business class.

Tests will begin in December on select flights from Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Rome and London.

“Wizz Class is for low-cost business travelers who may run small companies and want comfort paying first-class prices,” said Michael Delehant, the airline’s Chief Commercial and Operations Officer.

Passengers may also receive priority boarding and other premium add-ons.

Wizz Air’s Expansion Amid Challenges

Wizz Air’s expansion efforts come during a challenging year. The airline’s share price has dropped 24% in 2025, impacted by engine issues with its Pratt & Whitney-powered aircraft, grounding 41 planes. In July, the Hungarian carrier shut down operations in Abu Dhabi, citing geographical instability and regulatory hurdles.

Still, with its renewed travel pass and the introduction of ‘Wizz Class,’ the airline hopes to rebuild momentum and capture both budget and business travellers seeking affordable flexibility.
