Argentinian airline Flybondi, the country’s first ultra low-cost carrier based in Buenos Aires, has announced that it will be wet-leasing ten aircraft, which it will be using to begin four new routes, three of which are national and one is international. The lease will take place during the southern hemisphere’s Summer 2026 period (December 2025 — March 2026).

Flybondi Expands its Fleet

The ten aircraft, a combination of Airbus A320-200s and Boeing 737-800s, are being sourced from Avion Express, Avion Express Brasil, and ETF Airways. Out of the ten aircraft, seven will be stationed in Buenos Aires, and the remaining three will be housed in Córdoba. These aircraft will operate in addition to the airline’s existing fleet of 14 Boeing 737-800s aircraft and one wet-leased A320-200 from Avion Express Brasil. In a statement, the CEO of Flybondi, Mauricio Sana, said the following:

“Adding ten aircraft for the summer season will allow us to increase flights by 50% compared to 2024 and carry 56% more passengers. We aim for 2.8 million people to travel on our network.”

Flybondi Operating New Routes from Córdoba

In addition to the ten new aircraft being added to its fleet, Flybondi has announced that it will be starting four new routes from Córdoba (COR). These services, three national and one international, will be going to Puerto Iguazú, El Calafate, Ushuaia and Asunción (Paraguay). With these additions, as well as the seven other routes it announced earlier in the year taking off from Buenos Aires and Córdoba, the airline now has a network of 32 destinations, with 22 of these situated within Argentina. Flybondi will also be adding more than 280 charter flights to its regular operations, and will begin flights to Brasil from the Argentinian cities of Córdoba, Rosario and Salta from January 2026.

Mauricio Sana, CEO of Flybondi, added the following to the announcement:

“The new routes we are launching will generate many jobs and development in their destinations, two important means to boost different provinces. These new routes represent Flybondi’s and it’s investors’ promise to consolidate the airline as a key figure in the industry, offering simple, safe and effective journeys with the best prices.”

Flybondi commenced operations in Argentina in 2018 and has since flown more than 16 million passengers to destinations across Latin America.
