China Airlines will launch a non-stop service between Taipei and Phoenix from Dec 3 and is expected to become the first Taiwan-based carrier to offer a non-stop flight to Phoenix.

China Airlines Expands U.S. Reach with New Taipei–Phoenix Route
China Airlines is expected to launch its inaugural service from Taipei and Phoenix on Dec 3.
The announcement was made after a China Airlines delegation, headed by President Kevin Chen, visited Arizona on Sept 18, and met with Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego earlier this month.
With the new route launch, the airline is expected to run thrice-weekly non-stop round-trip flights between Taipei and Phoenix. It is also expected to lead China Airlines to become the first Taiwan-based carrier to offer a non-stop flight to Phoenix.
It is not an entirely new move for China Airlines, as the airline has already been providing service within the region in both passenger and cargo services since 2022.
Phoenix is expected to become one of the key stations as part of China Airlines’ North American network, providing better connectivity to inland areas.

Flight Schedule and Network Expansion
The China Airlines Taipei-Phoenix route is expected to depart every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from Taipei with flight no. CI 036 at 4:30 p.m. and arrive at 1:35 p.m.
The flights with no. CI 035 from Phoenix to Taipei, on the other hand, is expected to depart at 4 p.m. and arrive at 10:20p.m. the next day.
Apart from the new service, China Airlines is currently operating several routes within the North America region, including routes to New York, Los Angeles, Ontario (CA), San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.
With the newly added Phoenix service, the total weekly round-trip flights run by the airlines will be increased to 40.
In addition, the airline has an interline partnership with Southwest Airlines, to allow travellers connect to more than 50 U.S. cities, including Denver, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Chicago.
