Birmingham Airport uses tech-driven program for seamless travel

BHX announced their roll out of AI-powered initiative ‘Connected Personal Experiences’  which drives to provide seamless travel with endless communication, and updates for passengers.

Advanced technologies powered to connect passengers il provide real-life tracking information tailored to the customers device. Driven technologies powered to improve facilities within the airport wil include live-flight updates on interactive displays, hospitality recommendations, and more.

The CPE roll out is expected to happen across a three-year period in multiple phases, the first of which being ‘BABS’, Birmingham Airport’s AI-powered assistant.

Stuart Haseley-Nejrup, Head of Customer Strategy at Birmingham Airport, said:

“CPE is a key milestone in our mission to lead in customer experience and tech-driven services. By integrating AI-ready technologies and omnichannel communication, we aim to create memorable, personalised moments that enhance every journey. Whether it’s a family-friendly check-in, sensory rooms for neurodiverse passengers, or AI-powered recommendations, our goal is to ensure every passenger feels supported from arrival to departure.”

Connected Personal Experience roll out for convenient travel

The CPE roll out with the new AI-powered assistant initiative in the airport has been shared as an efficient, and driven tool to enhance customer experiences and facilities within the airport.

BABS focus is for customers who may be more vulnerable in settings such as airports, and need a interactive, informational tool that will guide them for seamless travel.
