Travelling to the Red Sea

Qatar Airways initiates three weekly flights to Saudi Arabia, effective Oct. 21, 2025. With this addition, the airline now operates up to 12 destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to Qatar Airways, the new route enhances regional connectivity and boosts travel from Asia and Europe to Saudi Arabia. The Red Sea has over 90 islands, canyons, and ancient landscapes that travellers seeking an adventure can explore. It also has five luxury hotels that guests can explore, with 11 resorts that are set to be opened this year at the heart of the Red Sea, Shura Island, this includes an 18-hole championship golf course, dining, and retail options.

Customers travelling to the Red Sea who are on Qatar Airways Privilege Club membership program can collect Avios on their flights, including when shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free at Hamad International Airport. Avios points can be spent on travel and lifestyle rewards or bid on money-can’t-buy experiences with the Privilege Club Collection. John Pagano, chief executive officer of Red Sea Global, considered the new flights a significant step in their commitments to establishing the Red Sea as a premier luxury destination on the world stage. Pagano added that the new route gives travellers the opportunity to experience unparalleled luxury and the chance to explore the local Saudi culture.
