Technik Students

Despite the challenge of acquiring apprentices in Germany, Lufthansa Technik was able to successfully fill its entire contingent of training and study programs. According to the company, more than 1,000 people are now undergoing an apprenticeship or dual study program at the company in Germany. The company’s new dual students, called Technik Students, are down by a small margin, approximately 41, compared with last year.

The company offers a range of specialisations ranging from bachelor’s and master’s degree courses in engineering disciplines such as aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, information technology, and applied physics.

Lufthansa Technik directly accounts for 250 of the new apprenticeships and dual study programs, with Lufthansa Airlines accounting for 60, and the rest by the Lufthansa Technik Group. Lufthansa Technik Group currently employs a total of 1,024 apprentices and dual students in all age groups. The company stated that this total also sets a new record.
