Avelo Airlines to Operate on Six New Routes

On August 14, 2025, Avelo Airlines announced its new routes to six destinations, including Wilmington, North Carolina’s first international route, three new routes in Charlotte/ Concord and Key West, Florida. Avelo is the first airline to offer nonstop flights on these six routes.

Avelo, which is an American ultra-low-cost airline,  will operate these routes in its Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said:

“We continue to Inspire Travel by growing our network at our newest bases. We’re adding a new destination in Key West, giving ILM its first international destination to the Dominican Republic and three new routes to our Charlotte base. These new routes offer our Customers even more choice, making it easier and more affordable than ever for our Customers to get where they want to go.”

Avelo’s New Destinations

From Coastal Carolina’s Wilmington International Airport (ILM), Avelo is set to operate on 17 nonstop destinations from the ILM base.

  • Putana Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) – starting operations on December 24, 2025, with flights twice a week.
  • West Palm Beach, Florida (PBI) – Beginning operations on November 20, 2025, with flights twice a week.

From the Florida Keys’ Key West International Airport (EYW)

  • Southern Connecticut’s Tweed- New Haven Airport (HVN) – Beginning operations on November 19, 2025

From Charlotte’s Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), Avelo is set to operate on 8 nonstop destinations from its USA base.

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) – Starting operations on 22nd October, 2025
  • West Palm Beach, Florida (PBI) – Beginning operations on 23rd October, 2025
  • Albany, New York (ALB) – Starting Operations on 23rd October,2025

Avelo is set to expand by introducing new routes at low prices, making travel more accessible across the United States.
