Cathay Pacific Group Released Traffic Figures for June 2025

Cathay Pacific Group released their traffic figures for June 2025. Amidst global market circumstances, the group recorded an increase in passenger and cargo capacity, showing strong development with route map expansion and a myriad of other new offerings.

Cathay: Positively Increased Traffic Figures Compared to 2024

With route map expansion and different improvements, the Cathay Group has seen an increase of 23.3% for passengers with Cathay Pacific Airlines and HK Express combined in June 2025, compared to the same month last year, and a 6.3% increase for cargo throughput. Lavina Lau, the Chief Customer and Commercial Officer of the group, is confident about the group’s development:

“Our global network has also continued to expand with five new destinations added in June. In 2025 as a whole, Cathay Pacific and HK Express have announced or launched passenger services to 19 destinations, with more to come. We now operate passenger services to more than 100 destinations worldwide as a Group.”

HK Express, the group’s budget carrier, also saw a 16.5% increase in the number of passengers carried.

Cathay Group: strong performance in 2025

The Cathay Pacific Group has experienced strong strategic development in 2025, with a route map expansion with now over 100 destinations on offer, while closely following industry trends in advancing the use of Sustainable Aviation fuel (SAF). The group’s upgrade to its offering is continuous, leading the group to success despite challenging global market conditions.
