The Uzbekistan-based airline Air Samarkand has confirmed that its network of routes will expand to fly to more destinations. This expansion will prove to be a positive step for this airline as it makes use of its fleet of Airbus A330, Airbus A321 and Airbus A321neo aircraft.

What This Airline’s Expansion Includes

Air Samarkand will oversee the introduction of flights taking off from Samarkand to the biggest cities in Georgia, namely Tbilisi and Batumi. Charter programmes are reportedly used in partnership with EasyBooking, offering attractive package deals to Air Samarkand’s passengers.

Flights will also depart from Samarkand and Tashkent to transport passengers to Azerbaijan. Samarkand flights will depart weekly every Friday, and flights from Tashkent will depart twice weekly.

The frequency of flights from Samarkand to Istanbul is set to increase to elevate the convenience provided for Air Samarkand’s passengers. This will contribute to the flights already taking place between Samarkand and Tel Aviv which originally launched earlier in May.

Air Samarkand’s CEO, Zafar Butayev, had this to say about the airline’s expansion:

“These latest route developments will support growing customer demand for new and enhanced services on our Air Samarkand route network. All provide connections where we have seen rising demand or identified clear opportunities to establish new routes for tourist, pilgrim and business travellers. We are meeting increased demand for convenient and competitive direct services to link our historic city of Samarkand and Tashkent with important neighbouring markets and destinations further afield.”

A Little About Air Samarkand

Air Samarkand is an airline which holds Samarkand International Airport as its main base. It aims to ensure that convenient flights are provided for its passengers to top destinations across the globe.

Samarkand is among Asia’s oldest cities, but its airport ensures that it mixes the city’s heritage with modernised infrastructure. This is a showcase that it looks to display for visitors overseas visiting this Uzbekistan city.
