As one of the world’s leading commercial aviation providers, Cathay Pacific celebrates new flight routes connecting Hong Kong to other parts of the world. April not only marks a strong end to the airline’s Q1 business but also opens new possibilities as the group marches into the summer peak seasons with thorough preparation.

New Routes Starting End of April
On 24 April, Cathay’s first direct non-stop flight to Dallas was launched. This is the 15th new destination the group has announced since 2025 started, showing strong ambitions in strategic expansion. Lavina Lau, Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, outlined the group’s expansion plans for the year ahead:
The launch of our direct passenger flights between Hong Kong and Dallas for the very first time demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with convenient access to the most exciting destinations around the world from our Hong Kong hub. As a Group, we are continuing to add more ports to our passenger network, which will exceed 100 destinations within the first half of this year.
The group also increases Hong Kong’s connectivity with mainland China, with another new addition to the network of destinations bringing Urumqi, a new direct flight between the city and Hong Kong starting 28 April 2025.
