Delta Air Lines has partnered up with Uber to allow U.S SkyMiles members to earn miles with Uber and Uber Eats. Starting from April 24, all customers will be able to link their Uber and Delta accounts to start collecting miles and get rewarded with a seamless travel experience for being loyal members.

Earning Miles on Rides and Orders

The partnership between Delta and Uber allows members to earn a set number of miles from their Uber rides and food orders:

  • 3 miles can be earned per eligible dollar you spend on Uber Reserve trips
  • 2 miles can be earned per eligible dollar you spend on Uber Comfort and Uber Black rides
  • 1 mile can be earned per eligible dollar you spend on UberX rides to and from U.S. airports
  • 1 mile can be earned per eligible dollar you spend in $40+ restaurant and grocery orders with Uber Eats

This new collaboration will expand the way SkyMiles Members can enjoy their benefits outside of air travel with Delta and provide more convenience for them while travelling.

A Collaboration to Give Back

Ed Bastian, Delta CEO, first announced this partnership at Delta’s 100 year anniversary event in 2025. The idea came from wanting to enhance the experience of their members, from heading to the airport or simply enjoying their everyday life, as well as wanting to give back to its loyal customers and make it easier for them to get rewarded.

Camiel Irving, VP of Operational and GM Mobility, US&C at Uber, commented:

“As 15% of all Uber trips either begin or end at an airport, we know that Uber is an integral part of the travel experience for millions of people. Partnering with Delta offers an even more connected experience for those travellers, turning their everyday moments into miles that will take them even further.”

Delta’s goal to create a multi-modal travel experience starts with this collaboration to enhance convenience for its members, from step-by-step instructions on the Uber app to help passengers navigate their Uber rides straight from their flight, to a new way of rewarding them for their loyalty. This is not the first exclusive perk that SkyMiles Members have been given. The Delta SkyMiles program continues to offer more to its members, and plans to bring more perks such as electric air taxi services in the future.
