Big changes are coming for travellers planning a trip to Thailand. From May 1. 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea must complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival. This new system replaces the traditional paper forms and aims to streamline the immigration process faster and more securely. Travellers must register within three days of their arrival. This simple digital step allows them to skip the paperwork and breeze through Thai immigration.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

The TDAC is a new online immigration form introduced by the Thai government to modernise and secure border control processes. From May 1 onward, all foreign visitors are required to submit this form online before entering Thailand, whether you are flying into Bangkok, crossing the land border from Laos, or arriving by boat from Malaysia.

Completing the TDAC takes just a few minutes and eliminates the need for physical paperwork at entry points. The TDAC is part of Thailand’s ongoing efforts to digitise its tourism infrastructure and enhance the experience for international visitors. By moving away from paper-based systems, Thai immigration hopes to reduce entry wait times, minimise errors, and improve health and safety monitoring where needed.

Complete Your TDAC Before You Fly

If you plan to visit Thailand from May 2025 onwards, completing the TDAC is mandatory. Make sure to mark your calendar and submit the TDAC within three days prior to your scheduled arrival. The process is quick and entirely online, so you can fill it out from the comfort of your home or on the go. After completing your registration, you’ll receive a QR code to present at the immigration checkpoint — no more fumbling with paper forms or filling things out in-flight. Let your journey begin with confidence and a smooth landing!
