Qatar Airways has once again proven why they are dubbed the world’s best airline by Skytrax. The flagship airliner opened the Web Summit Qatar 2025 by introducing other revolutionary innovations, including Dream Destination – The Pulse, Qatar Airway’s QVerse Multi-Sensory Experience, AI Menu, Privilege Club Collection and Reward Seat Finder. During the event, Qatar Airways also officially debuted its revolutionary AI technology. Named Sama, the world’s first AI cabin crew, the new system will make travel booking easier and more convenient.

What is Sama AI?

Sama, the world’s first AI cabin crew, is designed to make flight bookings effortless and personalised. The system uses both voice and chat features to guide the user through their booking experience. Sama is designed to answer all queries by users about flights and travel information. If you’re planning a family trip, for example, Sama will filter through and recommend family-friendly destinations in real time. The new AI system was first announced in 2024, and even has an Instagram account to give her a more human touch.

Sama is now available to view on Qatar Airways QVerse, their official app and their website. She is available to use around the clock, making booking with Sama faster and more reliable. The Web Summit even has a hologram of Sama available to talk to visitors at the Qatar Airways Pavilion.

What other innovations were announced at Web Summit 2025?

Alongside officially integrating Sama to their cabin crew, Qatar Airways has also made many other developments. Among other changes, the improvements done to the airliner’s AI experiences and virtual reality system are the most innovative. Dream Destination-The Pulse is the worlds-first AI promptless experience, allowing users to discover their ultimate holiday. Qatar Airways has also made improvements to their virtual reality system, QVerse. The latest update allows users to experience being in their award winning Qsuite in a more unique way. QVerse now combines visual, auditory and tactile interactions to give users a fully digital recreation of the Qsuite. These are only a few of the new innovations that the airline is working on to improve customer experience. Through these advancements, Qatar Airways have once again proven why they are voted the world’s best airline by Skytrax.
