A Perfect End for Etihad’s 2024

The overall statistics for Etihad Airways’ 2024 period have confirmed a passenger load factor of 87%. This achievement beats this airline’s passenger load for 2023, which was set at 84% overall.

CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo Neves, commented on its success for December 2024:

“December was our busiest month of the year, in the traditionally active holiday season, and we carried 1.7 million passengers, a 22 percent rise on the same month of 2023. In the full year of 2024, we carried more than 18 million guests, with a very healthy passenger load factor of 87 percent across the year. More impressively, it represents an 80 percent increase in our total passenger numbers for 2022, underlining our strong growth trajectory over the past two years.

“In December, our network continued to grow as we resumed our service to Nairobi, Kenya, and we are looking forward to starting operations to the new destinations recently announced.”

Looking Ahead to Etihad’s 2025

Etihad Airways is undoubtedly looking to achieve further successes that will allow them to beat their total passenger offload for 2024. The objective of introducing more flights to more African destinations is just one example.

Having won several awards in 2024, such as “World’s Leading Airline—Customer Service 2024,”  Etihad Airways may also aim to exceed the number of awards it could receive in 2025.
