What is JetBlue?

JetBlue is one of the largest and youngest American low-cost airlines. Founded in 1998 as “NewAir”, JetBlue now has over 1,000 flights daily to more than 100 destinations.

More about the JetBlue transatlantic flights:

Earlier last year, JetBlue announced that they would be having low-cost long-haul flights from New York to London Gatwick. After much waiting, JetBlue announced yesterday that they are accepting reservations for the flights.  The flights will launch on 12 August 2021. The prices for the flights are low for a transatlantic flight, costing around 346 USD for a round trip for Blue Basic. Despite being a low-cost airline, the premium class options on JetBlue do not disappoint, with lie-flat seats in JetBlue’s Mint Class!

What aircraft will be operating on this route?

For this new route, JetBlue is using their new A321LR’s. This will likely be the smallest plane to fly commercially across the Atlantic. This aircraft is one of the best narrow-body aircraft on the market, with new technology, higher fuel efficiency and increased range! JetBlue has multiple A321LRs with more than 3 left on order.

Where will JetBlue fly to next?

As of now, JetBlue is planning on flying flights from Boston to London. There has also has been speculation that flights from New York to Paris are currently being considered.

Are you planning to fly on these transatlantic flights? Let us know in the comments below.
