Ras-Al-Khaimah International Airport (RKT) has received its first SpiceJet flight from New Delhi in the wee hours on Friday.

SpiceJet operated its flight No. SG160 on the New Delhi – Ras Al Khaimah sector and the flight SG161 in the return direction.

In addition, the airline offers free-transportation to passengers between each of the airports: Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah.

Twelfth International Destination for SpiceJet

Ras-Al-Khaimah is the 12th international destination for SpiceJet. The airline plans to operate flights on Thursdays and Sundays from New Delhi.

Moreover, in the return direction,  the carrier scheduled flights to operate on Fridays and Mondays. Furthermore, SpiceJet will be operating the Boeing 737 for this route.

Ras-Al-Khaimah is also an important hub for SpiceJet. For example, the airline has operated 350 cargo flights and 286 repatriation flights during the COVID-19 lockdown of India.

Ras-Al-Khaimah is the UAE’s fourth growing destination

The United Arab Emirates consists of seven emirates namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras-Al-Khaimah,  Khorfakhan, Ajman and Fujairah.  Abu Dhabi is the capital city of the UAE. Additionally, Dubai is known as the commercial hub for the Middle Eastern nations.

However, Ras-Al-Khaimah is emerging as the industrial hub in the United Arab Emirates.  With world-class manufacturing and infrastructure facilities, it has already attracted international attention from many investors.

Ras-Al-Khaimah is growing in the industrial front with specialized port activities and manufacturing and with world-class infrastructure.  Ras-Al-Khaimah has close proximity to Dubai & Sharjah.
“SpiceJet is offering the cheapest return flight ticket on the Delhi – Ras Al Khaimah – Delhi route and this includes free road transportation from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. We are very excited to be playing a part in Ras Al Khaimah’s and the UAE’s post-Covid-19 recovery and look forward to building a strong rapport with SpiceJet passengers flying into and out of RAK Airport,”

Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet said in a statement.

With this flight, Ras-Al-Khaimah will further fuel the growth of the aviation sector.  Additionally, the airport will emerge as the new hub of activities for the UAE.  This flight is an added attraction.
