Delta Air Lines continues to update its long-haul fleet with a multi-year refresh costing around $1 billion, including new premium seats, upgraded cabins, and expanded lounge options. The upgrade also expands the Delta One package across both existing and incoming fleets, with new interiors scheduled to roll out across more than 800 aircraft over the next five years.

Delta One launching new soft product before its new interiors
Delta’s new interiors are set to roll out in 2027, coinciding with the arrival of its Airbus A350-1000s, which will also feature Delta One’s new design.
Ahead of the new interior, Delta is preparing to launch new service changes this autumn. Since Aug. 31, Delta has been training its crew for the new Delta One soft product, which could include catering, comfort items and media. While the airline has yet to confirm what its upcoming soft product will be, passengers can expect changes to meal presentation, service flow, tableware, beverages and comfort kits.
The total cost of this Delta One refresh is expected to be around $1 billion.
Delta has been gradually updating its Delta One soft product in recent years. Last year, it started serving Taittinger Champagne on international Delta One flights and introduced Missoni bedding, including broader mattress pads and memory-foam cuddle pillows.

First rollouts in LAX
Delta One’s upcoming soft product is expected to debut on long-haul flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The product will expand to other long-haul routes in 2027.
The airline has also been transitioning to premium service on the ground, with its first Delta One Lounge opening in Terminal 3 in 2024. The lounge provides eligible Delta One passengers with access to dedicated dining, a premium bar, wellness facilities, an outdoor terrace and a separate Delta One check-in area.
Delta has since opened the first phase of its second lounge in Terminal 2, which began operating in June 2026. The second phase is expected to be completed in 2028.
