Best Budget Airline 2025: AirAsia

AirAsia, a budget airline based in Malaysia, ranks first in the selection of best low-cost airlines in 2025. The airline is famous for the punctuality of its flights connecting cities in the Asian region.

The rankings are compiled, according to Airline Rating,  with a combination of standards that airlines need to meet. These include the offers of affordable inflight services such as food and beverage, Wi-Fi connection and inflight entertainment. They also take into account the travel fares and excellent network.  Most importantly, safety is never sacrificed with a rigorous 7-star rating system for aviation safety.

As one of the largest operating budget airlines in Asia, AirAsia has been connecting cities in the Southeast Asian region since 2001.
