Wizz Air will initiate new routes from Sweden’s Malmö Airport to Romania during 2024. These routes will operate twice per week linking Bucharest and Iasi with the Swedish city.

Wizz Air will initiate new routes from Sweden’s Malmö airport to Romania during 2024. These routes will operate twice per week linking Bucharest and Iasi with the Swedish city enhancing Malmo’s connection  to South-Eastern Europe emphasizing on the soaring demand for international flights. Furthermore, the Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia, Elisabeth Axtelius announced the importance of this expansion and more particularly she added:

“It plays an important role in connecting Sweden to well-establish

ed markets in southeastern Europe,” as well as a spokesperson of Wizz Air  announced that “We are excited to expand our network from Bucharest and Iasi, offering our passengers more opportunities to explore some of Europe’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations”.

Furthermore, by connecting Malmö with these Romanian cities Wizz Air broaden the options for the Romanian passengers to travel and explore the beautiful scenery of this exciting Nordic country. In addition, the company strives to facilitate business or family meetings through this connectivity.

Malmö Airport’s outstanding location

Wizz Air’s decision to connect with Malmö Airport was deliberate since it is the center of attraction for millions of passengers annually and serves as a key point of connection to other Swedish cities.
