Wizz Air has launched new direct flights from London Luton Airport (LTN) and London Stansted Airport (STN) to Valencia Airport (VLC) for Spring and Summer 2026 travel. This will boost tourism in the Mediterranean and provide easier access to attractions such as the City of Arts and Sciences.

Wizz Air is a Hungarian low-cost airline based in Budapest. It is known for offering affordable flights across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
It operates over 800 routes from 32 bases to nearly 200 destinations using a modern, young fleet of Airbus aircraft. It also has major hubs in Budapest, Bucharest, and London Luton.
In operating these flights, Wizz Air will strengthen its market share in the Western Mediterranean, utilising ultra-efficient Airbus A321 aircraft to lower operating costs. It will also capture high leisure demand with increased frequencies to destinations like Valencia.
New Route
In April 2026, Wizz Air launched direct flights from London to Valencia. The route will initially operate four times weekly before increasing to daily service. This development targets spring and summer 2026 travellers during the Easter holidays (April), Bank holidays (May) and summer holidays (June to August).
This route will operate using Airbus A321 aircraft which seats 216 economy passengers. This aircraft is a stretched, single-isle, twin-engine jet and the largest member of the A320 family. It is designed for short- to medium-haul routes and this direct route reduces travel time by two hours from a three+ hour connecting route (previously required connections through Madrid).
