Virgin Australia has recently announced a new plan for the first Australian all-in-one search tool for customers to use for easier travel planning in an easy-access monthly calendar view. Announced on April 7, the search tool is expected to be available to customers by mid-year.

Customers will be able to purchase flights using varying methods

The all-new search tool will allow travellers to compare flight options, providing a list of numerous flight times, costs, cabin types, and available dates.

Flight fares can be paid with credit or debit cards, or using Velocity Frequent Flyer Reward Seats and Virgin’s points + pay scheme. This points + pay scheme can be used in-flight on food or drinks, or towards flight costs.

Virgin Australia’s Digital General Manager, Alex Plummer, stated:

“Today, customers are typically limited to searching one route at a time, which can make it difficult to compare options and find the best value,” “This changes that, where for the first time, customers can see every available way to book flights in a single calendar view, unlocking far greater choice across dates and fares.”

“It’s a step change in the booking experience, giving customers a simpler, more transparent way to find the flights that work best for them.”

The all-in-one search tool is expected on the website and app

Virgin Australia’s all-in-one booking calendar is expected to expand over the coming months to include flights from its international partner airlines.

In addition, the all-in-one booking calendar and search tool will soon be available on both Virgin Australia’s website and as an easy-to-access app, benefiting frequent flyers and users.
