Vietjet Air, a leading Vietnamese low-cost airline, has announced the delivery of its newest Airbus A330 aircraft, increasing the total number of aircraft in its fleet to 121, including those operated by Vietjet Thailand and Vietjet Qazaqstan.

Vietjet Air’s Newest Aircraft
Vietjet’s newest arrival, an Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft, is the first of many that the airline has ordered; earlier this year, at the Paris Air Show 2025, the Vietnamese airline signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for the purchase of 100 single-aisle Airbus A321neo aircraft, with potential for another 50 aircraft to be added to the purchase in the future. Vietjet Air is welcoming its latest wide-body aircraft into its fleet as part of an expansion operation focused on providing customers with comfort and convenience, particularly as it gears up for the end-of-year air travel peak with passengers and tourists moving in and out of Vietnam in great numbers. The airline has ordered over 400 aircraft in total from both Boeing and Airbus for delivery up until 2030.
The new A330 wide-body aircraft is equipped with a state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine, and will immediately be put to use operating routes to Australia, Kazakhstan, India, Japan and Europe for the low-cost airline, offering passengers a comfortable and modern travel experience. The aircraft has been adorned with a distinctive yellow and white Vietjet Air livery with an iconic golden silk ribbon flowing across the body of the aircraft, which the airline has chosen to represent its values of integration, cultural connection and global development.
