Uganda Airlines is seeking to secure a short-term wet lease after grounding its two long-haul aircraft. This has led to disruption to the Airline’s services to London Gatwick and Mumbai International.

Affected routes

The airline said, ” Uganda Airlines wishes to inform our esteemed guests that two of our long-haul aircraft are temporarily out of service due to unscheduled maintenance. We understand that this may cause concern and inconvenience, and we want to assure all affected passengers that their safety and comfort remain our highest priority.”
According to ch-aviation, the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, has appointed 81-year-old Girma Wake as adviser and acting CEO after the dismissal of Jenifer Bamuturaki.
