Yesterday, two people have died after a light plane crashed in Raglan.

Police, fire and ambulances are all at the scene near East St, which is next to Raglan Harbour.

The crash occurred at about 3:20pm on Monday afternoon.

The light aircraft was a popular model, Van’s Aircraft RV-4.

The two people killed were the only occupants of the aircraft. No one on the ground was injured.
