Korean Air has completed the first stage of its lounge renewal project at Incheon International Airport (ICN). The airline has finished a full redesign of the Miler Club and Prestige East (Right) Lounge, located at ICN’s Terminal 2. The new lounges will officially open on August 18.

Korean Air lounge renewal project the Newly Renovated, Miler Club and Prestige East (Right) Lounge

On August 18, Korean Air will unveil the newly renovated Miler Club and Prestige East (Right) Lounge at Incheon International Airport. These redesigned lounges – alongside two new Prestige Garden Lounges at the far ends of the terminal – mark the end of the first stage of the airline’s lounge renewal project. This comes following Incheon Airport’s recent expansion.

The lounges have been carefully curated to blend traditional Korean design with modern luxury. Hanok-inspired structures make up a unique architecture. Paired with wood and marble furnishings, warm ambient lighting, and a distinct colour palette that matches Korean Air’s cabins, the lounges offer a distinct space for eligible travellers to recline before boarding.

The Miler Club and Prestige East (Right) Lounge will feature “Live Stations” where open kitchens allow guests to watch chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon prepare signature dishes. This provides an interactive element to dining in the lounge, where a vast range of dishes are offered. Menus change quarterly to spotlight seasonal ingredients, and visitors can enjoy both Western and Korean specialities. There is also a dedicated bartender and an in-house barista to craft fresh beverages.

Created with a range of guests in mind, the lounges also offer a wellness area with massage chairs, a tech zone for device use, a meeting room with a large conference screen, and spacious shower facilities. This enables the lounges to be used as spaces of relaxation, work, and everything in-between.

Korean Air and Incheon Airport’s Next Phases

The establishment of two new Prestige Garden Lounges comes as a result of Incheon International Airport’s expansion. They offer a quieter and simpler space for travellers to unwind before flying. Guests can enjoy views of a traditional Korean-style garden at the Prestige Garden East Lounge and a modern Western garden at the Prestige Garden West Lounge. The finalisation of these lounges is part of ICN’s Phase 4 expansion.

The redesign of the Miler Club and Prestige East (Right) Lounge signifies the completion of Korean Air’s first phase of lounge renewal. Remaining renovations are scheduled to take place next year – these plans will cover the First Class Lounge, Prestige East (Left) Lounge, and Prestige West Lounge. When finished, Korean Air’s total lounge space will expand from 5,105 to 12,270 square metres, effectively doubling capacity from 898 to 1,566 seats.
