The aircraft took off from Seattle at around 5 p.m. local time. The Warsaw airport posted on X that the aircraft with registration SP-LYB, SP-LYD, SP-LYE had landed at the airport. The post read:

“Equipped with new interiors, they are the 21st, 22nd and 23rd aircraft of this type in the LOT fleet.”

The aircraft were being tracked by aviation enthusiasts during their journey as they flew from Seattle and over Greenland. They had halted at Keflavik International Airport (KEF) in Iceland after an eight-hour flight, eventually being welcomed at WAW on Friday.

New Poland-inspired interior

LOT Polish Airlines, the flag carrier of Poland, had recently unveiled new interiors for its Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft that are inspired by the country’s natural landscape, specifically the Tatra Mountains. The first aircraft with the new interior went into service on Jan. 2, 2026. The interior was designed by UK-based firm Tangerine, which has a long-standing partnership with the airline. Izabela Leszczyńska, director of product development and customer experience at LOT Polish Airlines, said during the announcement:

“As Poland’s national carrier, we consistently shape the travel experience to reflect the very best of Poland. The design of our cabins and airport spaces draws inspiration from Polish landscapes and aesthetics. The new interior design is more than a purely aesthetic update – it forms part of a cohesive strategy aimed at delivering an exceptional passenger experience.”

LOT is awaiting deliveries for seven more Boeing 737-8 jets after the latest deliveries, as per reports.
