TAP Air Portugal has announced a new direct service that will operate from Terceira Island in the Azores archipelago to San Francisco in the Golden State of California. This comes soon after the carrier launched a new route from Porto to Boston.

Terceira to San Francisco
TAP Air Portugal have adjusted their schedule from June 3 onward, stopping at Terceira between Lisbon and California. The carrier will connect Terceira and San Francisco on a weekly basis, operating on Tuesdays and using the Airbus A330neo.
This new direct flight between Terceira and San Francisco will increase global connectivity, allowing for visitors to easily travel across the Atlantic Ocean. This operation is a significant link for the Azoeran community in California that is made up of around three-hundred-thousand people, connecting them closely to their roots.
The Azores islands also serve as a idyllic stopover destination, with many unique attractions on offer. Tourists can experience natural wonders at Terceira – including the Algar do Carvão volcanic cave and the Biscoitos pools – that come as a result of the island’s distinct volcanic landscape. The other nearby islands also offer memorable experiences, such as exploring the beautiful two-coloured Sete Cidades lagoon, and the incredible opportunity to whale-watch.
