Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is elevating the travel experience once again with the launch of a new European Business Class across all international European routes, starting October 1, 2025. This enhanced premium offering responds directly to growing passenger demand for a more distinct, comfortable, and clearly defined Business Class experience within Europe.

The reintroduction marks a significant milestone in SAS’s journey to strengthen its position as a leading premium carrier. With a more competitive and internationally aligned Business Class product, the airline aims to attract both regional and global travelers who prioritize comfort, flexibility, and service excellence.

A Strategic Step Forward

According to Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS,

“Many of our comfort- and quality-focused travelers expect a clearly defined European Business Class that aligns with international standards. While SAS Plus has provided an upgraded experience, it lacks the recognition and clarity premium travelers seek. With this launch, we’re ensuring SAS meets the global expectations of a top-tier airline.”

The move also supports SAS’s long-term strategy of reinforcing Copenhagen as a key global hub for Scandinavian and European connectivity, simplifying transfers and providing a more seamless journey for passengers connecting across SkyTeam partner airlines.

Fly Better with SAS

SAS’s latest initiative positions the airline favorably in this evolving landscape while affirming its commitment to delivering a seamless, high-quality travel experience. Whether you’re flying for business, leisure, or anything in between, the new SAS European Business Class offers clarity, comfort, and consistency, with service standards that match long-haul premium cabins.
