More than 11,000 flights will depart from the UK during Easter, Cirium data reveals

Cirium data revealed 11,282 flights will depart from the UK, offering over two million seats, during the Easter weekend 2025.

Which is the busiest day over the weekend?

The busiest day is Easter Friday, with 2,949 flights scheduled to depart from UK airports.

Is the tourism industry recovering?

According to the data of multi-year’s Easter weekend, including April 19-22 of 2019, March 29 -to April 1 of 2024, and April 18-21 of 2025, the number of departures rose by 6% compared to last year, but remained 4% down compared to 2019 data, indicating that the industry is continuously recovering from the pandemic.

Where is the most popular spot to go this year?

The hottest international spot this year for UK travellers during Easter weekend will be Dublin, followed by Amsterdam, Malaga, Alicante and Mallorca.

Which airport is the busiest?

A total of 2,680 flights are scheduled to take off from Heathrow Airport, which makes it the busiest, followed by Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted.
