More Regional Flights Scheduled to Cater to Expo 2025 Demands

Taiwan-based airlines Starlux Airlines and EVA Air announced new flight routes connecting Taiwan and the Kobe International Airport, catering to the travel demands from Expo 2025, providing increased connectivity to the Kansai region starting April 2025.

Increased Connectivity As Kansai Region Travel Demand Increases

As Expo 2025 kicked off in Yumeshima, an artificial island in Japan’s Kansai region, airlines have announced new flight routes connecting other Asian regions to the event. Regional travel around Asia is one of the busiest regions in commercial aviation. As Japan is organising the Expo for the second time since 1970, this 6-month event will surely attract a great amount of traffic to the region. Visit EXPO 2025: Flights from Taiwan

EVA Air announced a new route connecting Taoyuan International Airport and Kobe Airport on 18 April, and continues to be the Taiwanese airline with the highest connectivity to different regions in Japan.

Starlux Airlines also announced on the same day a new route connecting Taichung to Kobe. This also furthered the airline’s development of routes connecting Taichung, boosting tourism in the area.
