Menzies Aviation, an Agility Global company and a leading aviation services partner for airports and airlines internationally, has completed its US$305 million (£226 million, approximately) acquisition of G2 Secure Staff, an aviation service partner to major airlines across the United States.

Menzies Strengthens Position in the U.S.

The acquisition will strengthen Menzies Aviation’s position as the world’s largest aviation services provider, operating at 350 airports across 65 countries and employing 65,000 highly trained employees. Based on FY2024 figures, the deal is estimated to boost Menzies Group’s revenue by 20 percent, to a total of US$3.1 billion (£2.9 billion approx.) Menzies will also be able to benefit from G2’s expertise in ground services, such as passenger and assistance and cabin cleaning, which will compliment Menzies’ portfolio in ground, air cargo and fuel services.

Hassan El-Houry, Executive Chairman of Menzies Aviation, said:

“Acquiring G2 is a strategic long-term investment and significant milestone in our global growth journey. It is also a direct response to customer demand for Menzies to offer a broader range of services at more airports. With U.S. passenger volumes expected to surpass one billion by 2040 and rising airport infrastructure investment, this deal positions Menzies at the centre of the country’s aviation momentum and underscores our confidence in the resilience of the U.S. economy and U.S. consumer.

After 25 years as a key player in the U.S. market, we are now structurally aligned to support capacity growth, digital transformation, and labour demand. I’m proud of how far we have come as a business and excited to welcome our new G2 colleagues, whose talent and experience will be vital to our shared success.”

Menzies Doubles Its U.S. Footprint

With the acquisition, Menzies’ U.S. footprint has now doubled to over 110 locations, with services expanding at more airports, including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the busiest airport in the world, as well as other major hubs such as Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Denver International Airport (DEN).

The deal will improve Menzies’ global connectivity, allowing customers to benefit from its industry leading security and safety standards in more locations across the world. It will also strengthen the aviation company’s ability to support both airports and airlines in progressing their sustainability goals.

Philipp Joeinig, Group CEO of Menzies Aviation, said:

“This deal isn’t just scale for the sake of scale. It’s high-volume, high-readiness infrastructure that meets growing airline demand for seamless, multi-airport service coverage. It provides an opportunity to raise standards for aviation services across the U.S. and globally through the roll out of our industry-leading training, safety, sustainability and technology across all new operations.

With our reach extending into dozens of new local economies, we see the G2 Menzies combination unlocking job creation and upskilling opportunities. G2 has built a successful business, and we’re focused on working together to capitalise on our strengths to support our 20,000-strong U.S. team to deliver greater value for our partners.”

G2’s operations will be rebranded under Menzies Aviation, with integration beginning immediately as Menzies rolls out its global standards for training, safety, sustainability and technology to ensure as seamless of a transfer as possible for employees, customers and partners.
