Manchester Airport (MAN) has opened its new Executive by Escape Lounges in Terminal 2. It is open to all passengers travelling through the terminal regardless of their ticket class, provided they book entry or walk up on the day.

The New Lounges

The Executive by Escape Lounges at MAN is a major addition to the ongoing £1.3 billion transformation of Terminal 2.

Features of the newly launched lounge include:
  • UK-First Carvery: It introduces what is believed to be the first-ever live carvery and station-led dining experience inside a UK airport lounge.
  • Five Distinct Areas: The layout features curated culinary spaces such as Leaf & Loaf for fresh bakery items, The Humm for lighter deli options, and The Loom for hot dishes and live chef cooking.
  • Pricing: Entry to the standard buffet experience starts at £57.99 per person when pre-booked online.

Additional premium spaces are also scheduled to debut soon:

  • Emirates Dedicated Lounge: Expected to open its next-generation facility in Terminal 2 later in July 2026.
  • Table-Service Dining: An exclusive restaurant-style seated area called The Boll is scheduled to open later in Autumn 2026.
  • Aspire Lounge: A massive new 300-seat central lounge is scheduled to open its doors in late August 2026.

Manchester Airport Developments

Manchester Airport (MAN) is the largest and busiest UK airport outside of London. It connects northern England directly to nearly 200 global destinations, and features two full-length runways.

Manchester Airport is nearing the completion of its massive £1.3 billion Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MAN-TP). The project has completely overhauled the airport’s infrastructure, turning Terminal 2 into a state-of-the-art “super terminal” designed to handle roughly 75% to 80% of all airport passengers.

The physical size of Terminal 2 has more than doubled, increasing total passenger capacity to over 30 million travellers annually. Even major carriers like Emirates, easyJet, SAS, and Turkish Airlines have completely shifted its operations into the expanded T2 facility.
