The Lufthansa Group has published that in 2025 they will be hiring 10,000 new staff in a wide range of positions. More than half of this recruitment is set to take place in Germany.

Over 2,000 flight attendants 1,400 ground staff and 1300 technical experts are to be recruited by Lufthansa. More than 800 pilots are also set to be hired as part of Lufthansa’s company expansion. Lufthansa’s subsidiaries such as Eurowings and Austrian Airlines will also be looking for around 700 new employees, as well as their main division, Lufthansa Technik.

Michael Niggemann, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and responsible for Human Resources and Legal Affairs commented:

“The Lufthansa Group is and remains an attractive employer with many different job profiles and career options. Last year alone, we received 350,000 applications across the Group and recruited over 13,000 employees. We look forward to welcoming every new colleague.”

Over the last three years, the Lufthansa Group has hired over 30,000 new members of staff, and currently employ a substantial 100,000 staff in over 90 countries.

This comes soon after Lufthansa announced their partnership with the Japanese airline, ANA, who are now collaborating with a new set of direct Europe-Asia routes beginning in 2025. Other joint ventures include partnerships with United Airlines and Air Canada for transatlantic flights. These ever-growing partnerships increase Lufthansa’s connectivity globally and solidify their ever-growing need for employees.
