The Lufthansa Group is set to make a significant appearance at ILA Berlin 2026 from June 10 to 24, 2026, at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). One of Europe’s leading aerospace and defence trade shows, it brings together airlines, manufacturers, military organisations, and technology companies to present the latest developments shaping the future of aviation. The show combines a celebration of its aviation heritage with a showcase of its expanding defence portfolio. The airline group will highlight both its special anniversary aircraft and the growing role of Lufthansa Technik Defense at one of Europe’s largest aerospace exhibitions.

Special Anniversary Aircraft Takes Centre Stage

Visitors to ILA Berlin will be able to see Lufthansa’s Airbus A320neo featuring a special livery created to celebrate the airline’s 100th anniversary. The aircraft carries an oversized crane motif, inspired by Lufthansa’s iconic logo, and symbolises a century of the airline’s contribution to global aviation.

The anniversary aircraft serves as a flying tribute to Lufthansa’s history, connecting the carrier’s origins in 1926 with its modern fleet and sustainability ambitions. The Airbus A320neo, one of the most fuel-efficient narrowbody aircraft in service today, represents the airline’s continued investment in modern aviation technology.

Throughout the exhibition, the aircraft will be displayed as part of Lufthansa Group’s static showcase, giving visitors an opportunity to view the commemorative design up close.

Lufthansa Technik Defense Expands Presence

Alongside the anniversary celebrations, Lufthansa Technik Defense will present its latest military aviation capabilities. The company has become an increasingly important part of Lufthansa Group’s business, offering maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification services for military aircraft operators.

At ILA Berlin, Lufthansa Technik Defense will highlight its expertise in supporting defence and security customers, reflecting growing demand for advanced technical services across the sector. The division’s participation underscores Lufthansa Group’s commitment to expanding beyond commercial aviation and strengthening its role within Europe’s aerospace and defence industries.

The exhibition will provide a platform for discussions with government representatives, armed forces, and industry partners as defence organisations seek innovative maintenance and support solutions.

Held at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, ILA Berlin is one of Europe’s leading aerospace trade fairs, attracting manufacturers, airlines, defence organisations, and technology providers from around the world. The event serves as a showcase for the latest developments in commercial aviation, space technology, sustainability, and defence.

For Lufthansa Group, the exhibition offers an opportunity to demonstrate both its historic legacy and its future ambitions. By presenting its anniversary aircraft alongside the capabilities of Lufthansa Technik Defense, the group is highlighting the breadth of its operations across the aviation sector.

As the airline celebrates its centenary year, ILA Berlin 2026 provides a fitting stage to reflect on a century of aviation achievements while looking ahead to the industry’s next chapter.

Lufthansa Group is one of the world’s largest airline groups, operating a portfolio of passenger airlines, aviation services, and maintenance businesses. Its network connects hundreds of destinations worldwide while Lufthansa Technik remains one of the leading providers of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services globally.
