Southend’s Winter Takeoff

The new flight schedule offers a range of new hosts for winter travellers, whether it be escaping for a bit of winter sun, bustling city breaks or Christmas markets, travellers have their pick of the bunch for holiday destinations. Summer spots like Malaga and Tenerife are sticking around for the colder months, whilst favourites like Amsterdam and Paris offer yet more getaways for winter travellers.

Alongside this, six new destinations join the fold, all operated by airline partners EasyJet:

  • Lanzarote

Starts: October 29. Operates: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.

  • Barcelona

Starts: November 6. Operates: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays.

  • Berlin

Starts: November 7. Operates: Mondays and Fridays.

  • Rovaniemi

Starts: December 1. Operates: Tuesdays, Saturdays

  • Salzburg

Starts: December 6. Operates: Saturdays

  • Grenoble

Starts: December 14. Operates: Thursdays, Sundays

Less than an hour away from central London, the coastal airport is wasting no time getting travellers excited for the upcoming months.

London Southend’s CEO Jude Winstanley said:

This winter marks a real milestone for our award-winning airport. With 283% more seats on offer than last year, and a mix of brand new routes alongside returning favourites, we’re giving passengers more choice than every before – whether they’re heading for ski slopes, chasing winter sun or planning a festive escape.
