LAX Airport announces move to Terminal 6 for Hawaiian Airlines

On April 22nd, LAX officials on X announced that all Hawaiian Airlines flights would from there onwards depart and arrive in Terminal 6. The terminal is to be shared alongside Hawaiian Airlines with Alaska Airlines and Air Canada.

New baggage claims and check-in counters will be moved into Terminal 6, making a quicker arrival and departure for passengers. Visitors of LAX have joked in the comment section on Facebook that the previous walk time between check-in to their departure terminal left them thinking, ‘I was walking to Hawaii instead of flying there’.

Plans for Terminal 6 to be modernised began in 2021

With a ‘$230 million modernization project’ aimed towards creating additional space for passengers, upgraded technology through the removal of tech which has been in the terminal since the 2010s.

Ecstatic customers respond happily to relocation in the midst of LAX Airport

Hawaiian Airlines  passengers, among others currently located at terminal B face a ’20 to 30 minute walk’ simply to reach TSA, but this will change within the coming days.

Terminal 6 offers an abundance of restaurants and shops

From grabbing a Starbucks before catching your flight, to grabbing a bite to eat at the variety of restaurants on offer, visitors have plenty to explore. If bringing your service animal or pet, terminal 6 also offers relief areas for them, making sure the smallest of passengers are well looked after too.
