Korean Air’s technological highlights of the year

For this year’s event, the airline aimed to showcase its expanded aerospace capabilities through smart mobility technologies via three different areas, including advanced air mobility (AAM), digital MRO, and smart drones.

The advanced performance and functionality brought potential for wider application in the smart mobility sector.

In addition to the inspection drone, the airline also introduced a couple of cutting-edge technologies, including an AI-powered chatbot which could make recommendations of the best maintenance procedures when it found a defect, and a hybrid drone with extended endurance flight capabilities, which is suitable for land and maritime research, reconnaissance and delivery missions.

From AMM aspect, the airline also put a spotlight on its operational and traffic management systems for Korea’s AAM ecosystem, to showcase its showcase its innovative and safe AAM services.

A Korean Air representative commented,

“This exhibition provides a valuable opportunity to demonstrate how our advanced technologies and innovation can shape the future of smart mobility. Building on our deep aerospace expertise, we are ready to take the next big step forward.”
