Jet2 Welcomes 15 millionth Passenger in New Record

Jet2 hits a multi-million passenger record in their popular hub, London Stansted, in just under a decade since the UK’s largest tour operator began departing from the airport.

In 2017, Jet2 flew from London Stansted to Faro and back, marking its first-ever departure from the hub. Since then, they have added over 61 destinations for customers and welcomed their 15 millionth passenger.

Jet2 has since become the second-largest carrier at Stansted according to 2025/2026 winter capacity records, and now operates 17 aircraft based at the airport.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2 Holidays, celebrates the 15 million passenger record.

“We are delighted to have flown so many happy holidaymakers on our award-winning flights and holidays from London Stansted Airport and to be celebrating our 15 millionth customer to travel with us. It is fantastic to have reached this important milestone in our continued success story.”

Record Growth for Jet2 at London Stansted Airport

Since launching flights from the popular London hub, the partnership has created over 250 new roles in the company and employed around 1,200 colleagues at the airport base. Heapy shared:

“Since we first launched from London Stansted Airport in 2017, we have experienced substantial growth thanks to the support and loyalty of our customers, as well as our valued colleagues”

Jet2 continue to offer even more destination options with the hub, with a range of options for locals and independent travel agents.
