Christmas has come very early for Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks passengers with the announcement that the companies will be expanding their Christmas market programme for winter 2024/2025. Passengers can choose from several new routes and additional services to a range of popular European destinations as they look to enjoy the festivities on the continent.
Jet2 To Launch New Christmas Market Routes
It may seem a bit early to be getting into the festive spirit (we have yet to hit Easter for a start), but Jet2 is giving travellers something to be jolly about with the expansion of its Christmas market programme for winter 2024/2025.
In response to growing demand from customers and independent travel agents alike, Jet2’s expanded Christmas market programme will include several new routes to popular European destinations, including the exciting launch of the airline’s first-ever festive services from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL).

With its inaugural flight to Tenerife due to set off on 28th March this year, the start of Jet2’s operations is seen as a major boost for the regional airport both in terms of the creation of jobs for local residents and greater choice and flexibility for passengers during the summer and winter travel seasons.
On the launch of the brand-new festive routes from Liverpool, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said:
“With more customers looking to enjoy a festive break to a truly magical Christmas Market destination, we have no doubt that these new services will be enormous hits with holidaymakers. The Wonders Never Greece
The expansion of Jet2’s Christmas market programme comes less than a week after the budget airline announced that it would launch seven new routes between select UK airports and Greek islands for summer 2024. The recently announced routes include:
- Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL)–Corfu, Crete (Heraklion International Airport), Kos, Zante and Rhodes
- Newcastle International Airport (NCL)–Crete (Chania International Airport)
- Birmingham Airport (BHX)–Mytilene, Lesbos
To support Jet2’s Greek expansion, the budget airline has been working closely with the Greek National Tourist Office to work on year-round marketing and social media campaigns to attract new visitors to Greece and some of its lesser-known islands and grow the country’s tourist sector even further.
