The International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) World Cargo Symposium (WCS) is to be held between March 10-12 in Lima, Peru. The event brings together a number of training providers, Ground Handlers, General Sales and Service Agents (GSSAs), among other airlines like the LATAM Airlines Group, and airport participations in the event. The event is to be held at the Lima Convention Center (LCC) in the San Borja District.

The Highlights
This year’s theme for the World Cargo Symposium is the subject of ‘Advancing Air Cargo in a Dynamic World’, and set to be introduced by a panel of keynote speakers from senior airline leaders, industry experts and local government representatives.
The airline hosting this year’s topic is LATAM Cargo, the cargo subsidiary of its Chilean parent company, the LATAM Airlines Group. Andres Bianchi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LATAM Cargo will be attending, as will Roberto Alvo, the Chief Executive Officer of the LATAM Airlines Group at the start of the conference.

Media Attendance
The World Cargo Symposium event will also have a platform for media presence by offering journalists the opportunity to ask any questions pertaining to the event’s topic about air cargo during interviews during their Media Roundtable, starting on March 10. It will be conducted by IATA staff Willie Walsh, the organizations’ Director General, and Brendan Sullivan, its Global Head of Cargo, starting at 10:30 AM and finishing approximately an hour later.
There is no admission fee for journalists attending the occasion, the only requirement is that they must register their details online through the Corporate Communications department and use the discount code provided in the press release to gain free entry.
