Grupo EULEN has secured a contract to provide cabin cleaning and security services for Iberia’s new daily route between Madrid and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The route launched on March 29, 2026, marking Iberia’s first direct daily connection between the two cities.

Operational support for daily transatlantic flights
To support the new route, Grupo EULEN has deployed a team of 10 staff members at Newark. The team is responsible for cabin cleaning and security services linked to aircraft turnaround operations and departure preparation.
The Newark–Madrid service currently operates daily, requiring regular turnaround coordination at Newark Liberty International Airport. Representatives from Iberia were present in Newark for the inaugural flight, marking the launch of the route.
According to Iberia’s published schedule, the route is operated using Airbus A321XLR aircraft configured for long-haul international services. The airline has continued expanding its North American network in recent years, with Newark joining several existing U.S. destinations served from Madrid.

Expanding aviation services across the U.S.
Marixa Franco, Chief Operating Officer at Grupo EULEN USA, said:
“We’re proud to support Iberia on this new route, launching a daily international service takes precision on the ground, and our team is focused on delivering the consistency and reliability that kind of operation demands.”
The Newark agreement forms part of Grupo EULEN’s ongoing aviation operations in the United States, where the company provides ground support services for airline customers.
As airlines continue expanding transatlantic networks, airport service providers like Grupo EULEN remain involved in areas including aircraft cleaning, security procedures and turnaround support for long-haul operations.
